We Are The Ethical Body for All Dog Professionals
Who Want To Continue Their Education and Progress

At The National Institute for Canine Ethics, we are dedicated to setting the gold standard in ethical and empathetic dog care, ensuring that every dog is treated with the respect, kindness, and understanding they deserve. Our mission is to champion the welfare, behaviour, and well-being of dogs while inspiring dog industry professionals to excel through science-based, compassionate practices.

We support ethical, force-free professionals across the canine industry, including trainers, behaviourists, walkers, boarders, groomers, hydrotherapists, clinical massage therapists, and more.

Dogs are sentient beings with individual needs and emotions, and the way we interact with them profoundly shapes their lives. That’s why we are committed to promoting ethical, force-free methods rooted in positive reinforcement. By prioritising a dog’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being, we empower professionals to build relationships built on trust, not fear.

Through our extensive resources, member meetings and collaborative networks, we support dog professionals in continuously refining their knowledge, skills, and ethical standards. By creating a strong, supportive community, we enable all dog industry professionals to have a safe space to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and collectively raise industry standards.

At the heart of our work is the belief that when we advocate for dogs by understanding their needs, listening to their communication, and respecting their individuality,  we create a world where both dogs and humans thrive. As the trusted authority in ethical canine care, we are committed to guiding professionals towards excellence, ensuring happier, healthier, and more fulfilled lives for dogs and their human companions.

At The National Institute for Canine Ethics, we don’t just shape better dog professionals - we shape a better future for dogs.
